UQ Warwick Solar Farm Visitor Centre

Officially opened in July 2020, the 64 megawatt UQ Warwick Solar farm is powering UQ to be 100 per cent renewable. The power generated at Warwick, in addition to UQ’s Gatton and St Lucia solar farm assets, makes UQ the first major university in the world to offset 100 per cent of their electricity use with renewable power produced from their own assets.

Importantly, Revolution Town Planning successfully made and gained approval for a Change Application to facilitate the construction of the UQ Warwick Solar Farm Visitor Centre. The UQ Warwick Solar Farm Visitor Centre plays an important educational role in demonstrating that transitioning to renewable energy sources can be achieved efficiently and at scale.
